List of Fellow Collectors & Contributors

Here's a list of people, who contributed to my collection. Most of them are collectors themselves and have contacted me after a visit on my homepage.
You might be wondering how YOU can get on the list?! Under normal circumstances, this would be fairly easy: you'd just have to send me at least one beermat. But right now, it's all a bit different. See here for an explanation.

I don't claim this to be a complete list of all people, who helped to grow my collection. I'd like to thank all of them, but especially my parents.

(I haven't recently checked whether the email addresses are still valid or not, so give it try and don't blame me, if any of them don't work anymore!)

[Abro]
Sören Gustafsson (Sweden)
Sören's contribution helped me a lot to extend the Scandinavian section of my collection.
His email address is: soren.gustafsson@gfkonsult.se
[Baileys]
Carson Livingston (Canada)
Carson's 'Baileys' mat has quite an unusual and interesting shape. Visit his homepage at http://members.tripod.com/~carsonl. Carson is a collector himself. His email address is: carsonl@fox.nstn.ca
[Beerlao]
Tamás Kiss (Switzerland)
Tamás has sent me a beermat from Laos, which is quite unusual! He is a collector himself, but doesn't seem to have an email address.
[Buckleys]
Martyn Jones (Wales)
Martin is also a collector and his email address is: martyn-jones@syntech.co.uk
[Ciney]
Giancarlo Sintoni (Italy)
Unfortunately, I can't show you one of the coolest beermats I own, which I got from Giancarlo. It came in the form of a puzzle! Not very convenient as a beermat, but definitely a great collector's item! Giancarlo's email address is: sintoni@economia.unige.it
[Courage]
Steve Rose (England)
Visit Steve's beermat homepage, which is now located at http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Square/8383/.
His email address is: fez@freeuk.com
[Cristal]
Barbara Kerr (Switzerland)
In 1997, Barbara has spent several months living and working in Peru. That's where she has brought my this 'Cerveza Cristal' beermat from. I think that was pretty nice of her! But there are still much better reasons, why she is my girlfriend! :-)
[Red Cuillin]
Martin Reinberg (Switzerland)
Martin brought me this Red Cuillin mat, which is one out of a set of four. He bought it especially for me, when he was on the Isle of Skye.
[Diekirch]
Fernando Cardoso (Portugal)
Though he himself lives in Portugal, Fernando has provided me with my first mats from Luxemburg (as can be seen in the given sample). Fernando's email address is: fernando@dinf.biblioteca-nacional.pt.
[Doornkaat]
Herbert Hitziger (Germany)
With only 5.8 cm (2.3 inches) in diameter, Herbert's 'Doornkat' mat has the distinction of being the smallest one in my collection. A propos superlatives: my biggest beermat has a diameter of 19.4 cm (7.8 inches). Herbert's email address is: gh.hitziger@t-online.de.
[Egils Bjór]
Thora Engilbertsdottir (Iceland)
Thora was the first and up to now still the youngest (14 at that time) beermat collector that has contacted me as a consequence of my homepage. Her email address used to be: thoraeng@skima.is (doesn't seem to be valid anymore)
[Guiness]
Andrew Gee (Northern Ireland)
I probably won't forget Andrew's remark that he used to work in a hotel, "which had the unfortunate distinction of being the most bombed hotel in Europe". But he didn't forget to add that "living and working in Northern Ireland is nowhere as dramatic as perceived across the world"...
[Lapin Kulta]
Fabrizio Leuchi (Italy)
Fabrizio, who's currently living and studying in the Netherlands, sent me this Finnish beermat. His email address is: fleuchi@econ.vu.nl
[Old Luxters]
Tony Peach (England)
Ever wondered, why people collect beermats? Here's a (maybe not so obvious...) reason from Tony: "I started collecting beermats from Francophone countries to help improve my French". Well, if it helps, why not? His email address: tony.peach@lineone.net.
[Bière Müller]
Guido Rudolphi (Switzerland)
Guido, who works at a beer shop in the Swiss capital Berne, sent me a huge box with rather old Swiss beermats from a collector, who had gone to meet his maker (so to say...). If you're interested in homebrewing, visit his homepage.
[Nastro Azzuro]
Valerio Valvo (Italy)
Valerio lives in Rome and had to wait quite long for my answer...
His email address is: valval73@hotmail.com.
[Ottakringer]
Andreas Osanger (Austria)
I got lots of Austrian mats from Andy, who used to live in Vienna at the time. He now lives in Munich (Germany).
His email address is: osanger@gsf.de
[Pääsiäisolut]
Peter Johansson (Sweden)
Peter (from Sweden) has sent me this Finnish beermat, whose name Pääsiäisolut is a real tongue-twister! (I wonder what it means...)
Peter's email address is: jonper96@student.umu.se
[Quilmes]
Michael Dürig (Switzerland)
Michael brought me this beermat from Argentina. He doesn't collect beermats, but has his own homepage at http://www.eye.ch/~mduerig.
[Saku]
Elvar Alasi (Estonia)
I guess that Estonian beermats are (at least so far...) not very often found in the average beermat collection. Pretty cool somehow!
Elvar's email address is: alpro@infonet.ee
[Squaw Mountain]
Bob Reed (USA)
It took us quite some time, but finally we did manage to do an exchange, which earned Bob a place on this list.
His email address is: tobias@iglou.com
[Northern Superior]
Stephanie Vance (Canada)
Another small but fine contribution of (mainly) Northern American mats. And I like the email address - very sympatico somehow... :-)
Stephanie's email address is: vance@sympatico.ca
[ThirstyBear]
Jim Perry (USA)
Jim has a special interest in beermats with bear or wolf motives, which might also explain this contribution to my collection.
His email address is: jmperry@artsci.wustl.edu
[Whitecap]
Martin Strnad (Switzerland)
Martin, who is an old classmate of mine, has brought me this (and a second) mat from Kenya quite a long time ago. These are still my only African beermats.
[Wildbräu]
Helene Haas (Germany)
Helene, though still quite young, is already busily collecting beermats on a global scale. She's got her own beermat homepage at http://home.pfaffenhofen.de/haas/bierdekl.htm.
Her email address is: haas@pfaffenhofen.de.
